GUN REVIEW: Thompson Custom 1911

600x300-bigstock-Semi-Auto-Pistol-3957015With a low profile front that’s in black or brown, dovetailed sights into the slide that are in the rear, and a fully adjustable trigger, the Thompson Custom 1911TC is one of the best new handguns to own this year.

Retailing for around $800, the mainspring housing is checkered, while the strap is checkered at 20 LPI. It’s a good fit to carry and isn’t too abrasive, but if you plan to do some extensive training with this weapon, you’ll want to tape your fingers.

The Thompson Custom 1911TC also features a full recoil guide rod, a combat hammer, an extended magazine release, and laminate grips. Weighing in at just under 3 pounds, this handgun is light enough to be comfortable, yet heavy enough to carry a confident presence when wielded.

Built on a stainless steel frame, the Thompson Custom 1911TC is easy to disassemble, a breeze to clean, and is durable enough to be your every day weapon of choice. If you’re in the market for a new firearm, this weapon makes a strong case to be your next purchase.
