GUN REVIEW: Kahr CM 40

600x300-kar-cm-40   Made by Kahr Arms, the Kahr CM 40 is a distant cousin of the Thompson submachine gun. Why is this important to know?

Because both are made with an equal amount of love and care. The CM 40 is a high quality pistol that’s chambered in a .40 Smith & Wesson.

It’s a straight forward pistol with a polymer frame and a stainless steel slide. It’s a single action firearm that has a long, double-action style pull, even though it is only single action.

It comes with a 5+1 standard magazine, but sixes and sevens are available from Kahr.

You also have an 8 ball rear sight configuration and instead of the standard 3 dot, giving this pistol a bit of personality.

All in all, this is a nice sub-compact pistol to own. It’s got a clean look, a mag release, and no other external safeties. It’s balanced well and fires accurately.

Priced under $400 and with spare magazines retailing for around $30, you’ll find that this is definitely a fun pistol to own.
